Travelling by plane (Vienna international airport):
There is a bus station in front of the arrival hall of Vienna international airport.
Look for yellow buses operated by
RegioJet on the left-most platform. This company operates a direct connection to Brno. The buses leave the airport from 7:10 till 23:35. In Brno, the buses stop in the vicinity of the railway station. In front of the railway station there is a tram stop. Take tram no. 1 heading to
Řečkovice. Go to the stop "Hrnčířská", which is located approx. 400 meters from AMBIA. Prior to entering the tram you need to buy and validate the ticket. The tickets are sold either on the platform (yellow ticket machines) or by the tram driver. Buy the ticket for 60 minutes, it costs 25 CZK. Alternatively, you can pay for the ticket by
debit/credit card when entering the tram.
Alternatively, you can take train from the Airport Train Station
to the Vienna Main Train Station (Wien Hauptbahnhof), which runs each 30min and the trip takes 15min. Then you take train to Brno Main Train Station (
Brno Hlavní nádraží), which runs each 1-2h and the trip takes 1.5h. Combined train ticket from airport to Brno costs 15-40 EUR depending on day time and time of purchase, it can be bought in advance via e-shop of Czech Railways (www.cd.cz).
